I did it. I ran a mile. Straight. My time was 8:33.1 and to be completely honest, I am so proud of myself. I wanted to quit so bad on the last lap, but I kept telling myself the end was getting closer and that I could do it. The fact that I did not quit makes me so happy! The sick feeling I had when I first finished was not fun, but I could not help but do a little happy dance after I had walked another lap to cool off and let my breathing get back to normal.
Yes, definitely a good thing. Now my baby brother says I need to change my running-related "30 before 30" goal to two miles...ha!
