Walk through History

This Memorial Day weekend I had the pleasure of accompanying my friend, Teresa, and several members of her family on a trip to Natchez and Vicksburg, Mississippi. In Natchez, we toured four antebellum homes: Dunleith, Longwood, Stanton Hall, and Rosalie. We spend the night at a fifth home, Monmouth. I cannot begin to define the feelings and thoughts I experienced as I walked through each of these homes, so I will sum it all up in one word: awe. Consider the following images:
